Weekly training

Do you want to sail regularly and get to know like-minded people? In the 2024 season, we will organize weekly training sessions for both beginners and intermediate sailors/those interested in racing. Participants of weekly trainings receive a 25% discount on sailing courses, excursions and competitions.

At the end of the season, those who participated in the beginner group control the sailboat independently and know how to act in all the roles of the sailboat. We get to know the boat's special sails, such as the spinnaker, gennaker and Code Zero. During the season, we also focus on navigation and excursion sailing.

The advanced/race group focuses on optimal trimming and driving of the boat, as well as training for race situations. The racing group also participates in the Tuesday races organized on Tuesdays in front of Lauttasaari.
 
The training is organized on a 10.59-meter Archambault A35 boat, which can accommodate 6 participants and a coach.

Rainwear, gloves and life jackets can be borrowed during training.

When? Beginners training groups on Mondays and Thursdays at 17:30-20:30, continuation/competition group on Tuesdays at 17:30-20:30
Summer break? Training will not be organized from 21.6 to 4.8
Where? NJK, Koivusaari port, Vaskisalmenkuja 9, 00200, Helsinki. Some training sessions can also be organized from NJK's Valkosaari harbor in the center of Helsinki
In what language? We teach in Finnish, Swedish and English
Price? The whole season (15 times) €750, individual training sessions €75
